St. Kitts, sister island to Nevis in the Caribbean island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis, has incredibly diverse scenery...black and tan sand beaches, volcanic peaks, lush tropical rain forests, fields of swaying sugar cane, rolling open countryside dotted with stone churches, cliffs and flats. All is rolled into an island of 68 square miles, 23 long and 5 across at its widest point. St. Kitts was the first English settlement in the Leeward Islands and afterwards fought many battles with France in order to keep her. Sugar was the main industry here, and plantations can still be seen, some in ruins, some incorporated into fantastic inns. Still uncrowded and unspoiled...a relaxed and casual atmosphere prevails here where present and past combine to make an inviting destination.
Island Inns specializes in luxury hotels and villas throughout the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
